Legal arrangements

1. Purpose of the Website
The website of the Czech National Bank (CNB) is primarily intended to provide users with a quick overview of the CNB’s mission and activities.

2. Responsibility of the Website Operator
The Czech National Bank publishes and regularly updates a large volume of information on its website. However, due to the technical nature of the internet, we cannot guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or integrity of the information provided. Therefore, please verify the accuracy of any information presented on the CNB website, especially if it is to be used for commercial purposes. The CNB bears no responsibility for any consequences resulting from actions taken based on the content of this website.

Please note that the only legally binding versions of laws and regulations are those published in the printed Collection of Laws. Complete versions of legal texts provided on the CNB website are for informational purposes only and have no legal validity.

The internal structure of the CNB website is subject to change due to the increasing volume of published content. If you are redirected to a “Not found” page, please consult the current menu in the horizontal bar at the top of the homepage, which remains accessible at https://www.cnb.cz.

The CNB website also contains links to websites of other institutions. The CNB accepts no responsibility for the content or availability of those external sites.

3. User Rights
You may store, distribute, and reproduce the information from our website, except for copyrighted texts—that is, texts with an author indicated in the header or footer (in such cases, permission must be obtained directly or through the CNB)—and images for which the CNB does not own the rights.

You are free to link to CNB web pages using hyperlinks, including deep links. However, please note that the CNB reserves the right to change both the content and structure of its website, and URLs may change over time.

The Czech National Bank must always be cited as the source (Source: CNB). Files must not be altered in content or form and should always be opened in a new browser window. If excerpts are used, or if texts are split or combined, the factual accuracy and original meaning must be preserved. Banknotes and coins may only be reproduced in accordance with Decree No. 274/2011 Coll.

4. Rules for Use of the CNB Logo
The CNB logo is reserved solely for CNB communications and activities, or for promoting events supported by the CNB (whether through co-organization or official patronage) or otherwise associated with it.

The use of the CNB logo is subject to approval solely by the CNB. Any use by third parties must be approved by the logo administrator, which is the Property Management Department of the CNB’s Administrative Division. The CNB does not grant permission for the use of its logo by third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.

If permission to use the CNB logo is granted, the entity must request a review of correct usage by the Property Management Department before publication. Entities are obligated to represent themselves under the CNB name and use the CNB logo solely for the purpose for which permission was granted.
